Ungogo, Kano state – Kano State Police Command apprehended two suspects linked to the theft of the Bachirawa Police Station signpost in Ungogo Local Government Area.

SP Abdullahi Kiyawa, the spokesperson for the state police command, shared the news via Facebook on Wednesday, August 13, noting that local residents played a key role in the arrests.

His post, originally in Hausa and translated into English, stated,

“The individual who stole the Bachirawa Police Station signpost and the one who received it were collaborating.

Kano driver returns lost huge sum of money to owner

In another development, Henzodaily.ng reported that a 36-year-old commercial driver, Safiyanu Bashir, exhibited remarkable honesty when he returned a bag containing a significant amount of money that he discovered on the roadside in Kano State.

Bashir explained that his decision was driven by a desire to please God, showing integrity in a time when economic hardships have led many to act dishonestly.

Bashir, who lives in Rangaza, Ungogo Local Government Area of Kano State, had sighted the money during rush hour amidst heavy rainfall. Bashir recounted that while driving, he spotted a black bag by the roadside. When he picked it up, he was astonished to find it filled with a large amount of cash.
