Unidentified gunmen have reportedly killed two police operatives in Uruagu, a community in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Henzodaily learnt that the tragic incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday while the officers were on investigation duties.
An eyewitness who spoke with Punch said the assailants launched a surprise attack on the police officers, leading to a fierce gun battle before hurling an improvised explosive device at the police team, which exploded, killing two officers instantly.
