What is National Council of State?
The National Council of State is a constitutional advisory body in Nigeria, established by Section 153(1) of the 1999 Constitution. The council comprises the President and Vice President, all former Presidents and Heads of State, all former Chief Justices of Nigeria, the Senate President, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and all State Governors.
The council’s primary function is to advise the President on matters of national importance, particularly on issues related to the economy, security, and political stability. The council also plays a crucial role in promoting national unity and resolving conflicts between federal and State governments.

The National Council of State meets quarterly, or as summoned by the President, to discuss pressing national issues. The council’s meetings provide a platform for the President to consult with key stakeholders and seek advice on critical matters affecting the nation. The council’s decisions are not binding but carry significant weight and influence in shaping national policies.

Tinubu told to sack NNPC Kyari
Henzodaily.ng earlier reported that President Bola Tinubu has been urged to sack the GMD of the NNPC Limited Mele Kyari to avoid mother of all protests.
Primate Elijah Ayodele of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church gave the warning to President Tinubu in his latest prophetic message on Saturday, August 10.
According to the cleric, the current nationwide protests are a child’s play from what God is showing him and the only way to avoid it was to sack Kyari.
