A 35-year-old zoo worker, Babaji Daule, was on Saturday killed by a lion at Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta.
The spokesman for Ogun State Police Command, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the unfortunate incident in a statement sent to journalists on Sunday.
According to Odutola, the Bauchi State-born lion handler had approached the cage to feed the animal without securing the locks and barricading the lion’s enclosure.
