Residents of the Nawfia community in Njikoka Local Government Area, Anambra State, have been plunged into mourning following gunmen attack that left five people dead and several others injured.

Henzodaily learnt that the incident happened on Sunday night as the assailant arrived in the community with a Lexus RX Jeep and a Toyota Sienna.

The gunmen reportedly opened fire on unsuspecting residents, killing five and injuring several others, including a small child, before fleeing the scene.
