Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State says the local government election slated for October 5 in the State will produce a new political structure that is people-oriented.
The Governor‘s Chief Press Secretary, Mr Nelson Chukwudi, quoted Fubara as saying this when he received members of ‘The Simplicity Movement’ in Government House, Port Harcourt on Tuesday.
The group was led by Chief Sobomabo Jackrich, a candidate of the National Rescue Movement (NRM) in the 2023 gubernatorial election.
