The Nigerian singers Ayrr Sta, Asake, Burna Boy, Rema and Tems have been nominated for the 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards.
The award organisers released the nominees list on Wednesday, with the ‘Rush’ hitmaker nominated in four categories, which include ‘Best African Act’, ‘Best Afrobeats’, ‘Best Push’ and ‘Best New Artist’ categories.
Other Nigerian artists were nominated for ‘Best Afrobeats award, while South Africa’ Tyla clinched four categories including ‘Best New’, ‘Best Afrobeats’, ‘Best R&B’, and ‘Best African Act’.
