There is currently a heavy presence of security operatives at the Edo State government building on Osadebe Avenue due to rumours that Philip Shaibu is planning to return to his role as Deputy Governor.

Henzodaily reports that the Edo State House of Assembly had previously stripped Shaibu of his position during his falling out with Governor Godwin Obaseki.
