Libya appeal CAF’s ruling awarding Super Eagles win in AFCON qualifier

The Libyan Football Federation (LFF) has lodged an appeal against the Confederation of African Football’s (CAF).

Recall CAF awarded Nigeria a 3-0 victory in their scheduled 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier with the Mediterranean Knights.

The ruling followed the cancellation of the Match Day 4 fixture, originally set for October 15 in Benina, due to disruptions affecting the Nigerian delegation.

According to Libyan news source Al Wasat, the LFF views the decision as unfair.
