The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to reverse the recent hike in petrol prices pending the determination of a suit it filed before the Federal High Court in Lagos challenging the powers of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) to increase petrol prices.
SERAP insisted that if the latest increase is allowed to stand, it will be a mockery of the case before the court, creating a risk that the course of justice will be seriously impeded or prejudiced, as it were.
