The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has shunned the match against Libya as it issued a strong statement regarding the Super Eagles’ ordeal at Al Abraq Airport.
This came after the national team has been stranded for over 12 hours ahead of their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Libya.
The team, scheduled to arrive in Benghazi, was diverted to a much smaller and lesser-known airport, typically reserved for Hajj operations, subsequently delaying the team all night without provisions.
